I've started to really dislike the word

'gorgeous'.

It seems to be the only word people can think of to describe anything worth looking at.

It irritates my pedant self that people - around me and on FB - have such limited vocabulary that a car, a cat, a child, a crockery set and a cup of tea are all gorgeous.

Especially when spelt 'gawjus' , eh?

Agree that people have limited imaginations when it comes to using different words. 'Nice' is one that we weren't allowed to use at school. Maybe gorgeous is now filling that role & will be banned in future!
