Writing the dreaded cv. Is the following correct?

I am a positive, hard-working individual. I am also extremely self motivated.

TIA

I'd say no hyphen in hard working, and add one in self-motivated
But I don't really know

There must be a rule somewhere, but my hyphen use is disturbingly random for a pedant. Google calls!

From my quick Google search, it appears both can be hyphenated and 'hardworking' can also be one word.

CocktailQueen · 10/03/2014 09:32

I'd add a hyphen in both. Hardworking can be used but 'hard-working' is more common imo.

Optional in hard working; required in self-motivated ("self" compound words are hyphenated.)

SweetestThing · 10/03/2014 12:27

I'd put a hyphen in both.

I forgot to add: I am American, but I think British usage is essentially the same for hyphens.
