organised vs organized??

Is there a difference between organised and organized?? Is it one of those UK vs US spellings?

Organized is the US spelling, but both versions are acceptable in the UK!

US only accepts -ize-; UK accepts either.

I prefer -ise- because I don't like zeds much

I have the same issue with Realise .. is that allowed, or must it be with a 'Z' ?

Good to know that both are accepted in the UK.

The OED would use a z - I prefer an s; but both are acceptable.
