Cond-joo-it

Or

Cond-wee?

I was in a meeting this week and someone used the latter pronunciation. Have I been showing myself up all this time?

I'd use the second, but I'm a ponce who thinks that French A Level makes me cosmopolitan. I'm sure the first is perfectly acceptable.

Cond-you-it - assuming you are talking about the stuff that electrical cables run through, and not some other use of the same set of letters!

More of a channel for transmission of ideas, than electrical equipment :)

So if I'm not poncey I can carry on with no. 1?

Yep, I'd carry on with No 1 - I'm pretty sure that's normal English pronunciation!

says Cond joo it. Until I saw this ad which cracks me up, I used to say Condewit (as in the Street in London)

Now I can only say it like Wiiliam Grin
