Surely it's "worst"? I have noticed this a lot recently and it really makes me fume. Rather like 'haitch'. Angry

Yes, I think it is "worst". It irritates me even if "worst" is used - unless of course what the person is talking about really is the worst thing ever.

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2012 19:25

well is it spoken on written? If spoken I doubt the difference could be heard, although that may just be an accent thing.

StealthPolarBear · 17/06/2012 19:25

or written, I meant...

NotGeoffVader · 17/06/2012 19:36

Oh written, Stealth - even seen it on some of the boards here Shock

oh dear
I did drive past a place offering "Tattoo's" the other day - proper professional shop front!

"Worst thing ever" is most likely exaggerating for effect, which is fine in my book.

Have you ever replied, "no, your grammar is the worsT thing ever"?

NotGeoffVader · 19/06/2012 10:21

Tempting, Trills - not yet. But I have been known to stealth-correct signs and notices that contain errors. Blush

:o I read the thread title and purposely came on to correct you. Yes it's 'worst', not 'worse'.
