I love it! I'm tempted to buy it to wear it in front of my SlL who has no idea about punctuation, especially the use of the apostrophe.

I'm not excusing it, but that word doesn't have the same negative associations in the US as it does here. I think it may even still be used in medical circles.

It reminds me of the statement, 'The thing I fucking like the fucking most about the English fucking language is that you can fucking well put the word 'fucking' any fucking place you fucking well like'

MinnieBar, I have two American friends whose children have DS and they would not agree with you at all about the use of the work 'retard'. They are highly offended by its use. Maybe the word is commonly used in the US but that doesn't mean it's not offensive. It's a horrible word.

I have now bought the T shirt and am going to wear it in public tonight.
