The 'umbilical chord'

What would such a chord sound like? Does one need a bow to extract the sound from the relevant bit of tissue, or would gentle strumming or plucking produce the effect? The term even features in the MN guide to the third stage of labour. I will be very disappointed if I don't hear it when I give birth.

Oh yes, I always smile when I see in a birth plan "partner to cut chord".

'Heart rendering' is another that I spotted earlier. Rendering? Really? Shock

hallelujahheisrisen · 11/04/2012 15:39

Do you not get heart rendering by eating too much cholesterol?

VeronicaSpeedwell · 11/04/2012 15:41

I think that's it hallelujah. Sometimes the cause of the problem is too many 'battered eyelids'.
