Because if I have to smell what I smelled this mornign at 7am on my way to work, on the bus...I will heave!!!
Young woman next to me was slobbering all over: Bacon & Egg Mc Muffin and Lucozade, followed by Liquorice Allsorts (for 'afters' )

Oh and then she chucked all packaging on floor of bus too

Why is this in Pedants' Corner?

When I had a longer commute in I sometimes used to eat my toast on the walk to the bus stop/whilst waiting for the bus (wrapped in a piece of kitchen roll and then nibbled from a gap in the paper) . In my head I could always hear my dad telling me off - he hates stuff like that.

In my defence though I would never eat it on the bus - I'd chuck whatever was left. Not as a result of being worried about making it smell (sorry), just because...it's a bus, and I don't really like eating on buses.
