In my Dh's case it's the pronunciation. He calls them scollops. It drives me mad.

I had a note from him on top of a box of Milk Tray this morning "happy Valentines Day" I am only forgiving him the missing apostrophe because it was a lovely thoughtful gift.

I pronounce it scollop too! Thought that was right & proper!

But my dh had spelled it scollop. The twit.
