Eventhough...

Dear Pedants,

This is one of those situations when I know that I am right - but I just want to be quadruply sure before typing an email.

My Year 2 DD has come home from school with the above "eventhough" listed as one of her spellings to be learned this week. Yes, listed as one word. Obviously I will be handling it sensitively - but I can't allow her to learn and internalise something that is so obviously wrong.

There aren't any circumstances in which you would use those two words together as one word, are there?

Taa muchly, Lemonsole. (Yes, this should usually be two words... oh, the irony)

I'm 99% sure it is a misprint!

If it's handwritten then I'm Shock

Thanks, all! I'm going to phrase the email with the assumption that it is a misprint (even though it had been lovingly Pritt-ed into her spelling book...) but still making it clear that it is wrong. Teacher is lovely, lovely, lovely, and I really want to get this right. I'm a secondary languages teacher, and don't want to come across as being too preachy.
