I think have turned into my Dad. I mentioned to him the other day that I seem to have become a bit of a pedant in my old age and he looked horrified and said 'YOU???' as if my grammar is so appalling, I couldn't possibly judge anyone else's!

the trouble with a lot of the things that the English find so annoying is that they are common place in America and/or Australia; they worm there way in because of tv programs and then everyone starts to use them i.e. "Can I get.." and "I'll bring it home to them" ect. ect. There are less Australianisms than Americanisms, because Aussies get there's from America to.

Been reflecting on the riots. So sad . Theirs an underlined problem that needs to be sorted.
