I was in a shop today and heard an assistant directing someone to go "past the multi-storage car park".....she said it a couple of times as well. Dear god.

Well, I suppose it has a certain kind of weird logic

I used to work with someone who referred to the au pair employed by her DD as the om pair. I doubt she knew what au pair means, so what she thought om pair meant heaven only knows.
