Brutalize

Could someone possibly tell ( Eton educated) David Cameron that brutalize does not mean treating innocent people brutally.

Brutalized people behave without humanity (usually because they've been desensitised to suffering) and I don't think he's accusing the women and children of Libya of that.

It's running a close second to disinterested at the moment.

Isn't it brutalise?

If it's good enough for the OED then it's good enough for me.

It's all Greek to me [buwink]

As far as I know it has two meanings:

  1. to make brutal,

2. to treat brutally.
