Just got a leaflet through the door from H. Samuel advertising their minging collectibles as great gifts for Mothers' Day. The front page announces:

THANK'S MUM!

How many people saw this before it went out to households across the nation... also wondering how they know about MIL's penchant for said collectibles.

You might like this reply I got when I emailed Boots to complain comment on some glaring mistakes on their signage.

Dear SweetestThing

Thank you for contacting us about your recent experience in our Crawley store. I am sorry to hear your disappointed with the wording and grammer used in a number of displays within the store and you do have my apologies for this.

I can assure you that before any of our promotional displays are approved, they are thoroughly checked and proof read to ensure the wording to ensure it is the high standards our customers expect.

With this said, it is very disappointing to hear we have let you down on these two occasions. Please be assured that I have passed your comments onto our Marketing team for their consideration. They will continue to monitor the contacts they receive in order to make the necessary changes to the text on these disaplays.

Thank you again for letting us know about this. It is only when customers like you take the time to contact us that we can make things better.

Shame about the spelling mistake in their reply though!

Ditto cattj!

I replied to them, highlighting each instance of either a spelling mistake or a grammatical error and explaining what was wrong with it. Funnily enough, I then got a beautifully crafted (and correct) reply from someone higher up the food chain!
