This has been bothering me lately. If DC means darling child then the plural would be darling children?
In which case, there is no need for the 's'.

Yeah but we wouldn't know then if people were referring to their child or children.

I didn't think of that. Maybe instead of DC we can use little stick figure smileys, a pink one for a girl and a blue one for a boy.

Alternatively, one could shun the cliquey use of such abbreviations, and use the correct words, iykwim.
