Noticed this in my local coffee place today -a printed sign offering, amongst other things, a "flat wight coffee"! Maybe the coffee comes specially from the Isle of Wight?? Grin

NEver heard of it!

bibbitybobbityhat · 21/01/2011 15:48

Coffee made with hot milk, but not loads of it like a latte, and not frothed up like a cappuccino.

nickelbabysnatcher · 21/01/2011 16:05

Definition of WIGHT
: a living being : creature; especially : a human being

Doesn't sound very tempting. Mind you, neither does 'flat white' - I'd been wondering what that was, disappointing to find its Bog Standard white coffee like I make for DH [hm]

StealthPolarStuckSpaceBar · 21/01/2011 16:16

it's just a posh name for a coffee with milk

Species8472 · 21/01/2011 17:36

It's a bit nicer than standard white coffee. Or wight coffee.

Outside a coffee-house in Cambridge there is a sign which reads:

"Probably" the best flat white in Cambridge.

Who are they quoting?
