Actually while all you pronunciators are here, I've always wondered how you pronounce the names Ghislaine and *Ashling

ghislaine is the Germanic form of my name I think and I have been told it's either pronounced zs-is-lane (the zs as in Zsa Zsa Gabor) or Giz-Lane (with a hard G)

I'm not 100% sure it's the German version of my name, but it's a version of my name - Gisele.

Ashling is pronounced exactly as it is spelled. Ash-ling. It can also be spelled Aisling, and it is still pronounced the same way.

I had a French penfriend called Ghislaine. It was ponounced Zheez len.

My rl friend is Aisling. She pronounces it Ashleen. She's Irish.

Google suggests both are used. I'm sure one is the original but both have been used for a long time.
