Loops and coathangers

anyone else hate with a passion the loops sewn inside clothes to hook around coathangers? Oooh, I 'ate 'em so much. They could have ruined my wedding photos. Have inadvertently walked round with them hanging out all day. STUPID! And don't get me started on coathangers.

Yes

They piss me off big style

Have the time they are completely unneccessary, and the rest of the time they are only there for the benefit of the retailer.

YANBU

BUT

I would dispute that this is pedantry.

EnSuiteShed · 26/10/2010 20:41

What is pedantry however, is the fact that I said Have instead of half - oh the irony

MardyBra · 26/10/2010 23:47

I missed that. Blush

Even worse is the one thin satin strip which is sewn into some tops horizontally to keep the top on the hanger - sometimes you see people wearing the top without having cut it off.

EnSuiteShed · 27/10/2010 12:26

Hahaha Unprune - I've never seen that but it did remind me of when I have seen people walking about with leather boots on and the "Genuine Leather" tag still attached.

Or even worse, when they are wearing a coat and they still have the "100% Wool" label stitched onto the cuff of their sleeve Grin

ROFL!

PastaDiva · 28/10/2010 00:58

Haha - Sorry for the hijack, but EnSuite you have just reminded me of DH's lovely smart wool coat which he still thinks has no pockets because I have not told him they have to be unpicked first.

I cannot bear to see the line of the coat ruined by him shoving fistfuls of rubbish in said pockets, so have never told him and it's never occurred to him (he's had the coat at least 5 years) Grin

I don't think it came with a label on the sleeve though

EnSuiteShed · 28/10/2010 11:11

Yes PastaDiva - loads of people don't realise that you need to unpick them. The same with when they stitch a cross over the back of the pleat/vent at the back. My sister had that on for 3 years before I told her that you were meant to remove it!
