Fancy dress party..........

My friend's DD is having a fancy dress party for her 3rd birthday. All of the girls have to be princesses and the boys can go as anything.

Where is the best place to get a little outfit from. I have tried Mothercare but they are all thick heavy things and the party is at the beginning of July. I am really not a creative person (I am dreading it when DS goes to school and I have to make costumes for plays....... got a few years to practise!)

Oh, and DS is small for his age as he was 8 weeks prem so is really still in 9-12m clothes.

Thanks.

I'd be sending him in his jeans and t-shirt and saying he's bob the builder

A pirate.
Cut the ends of some old denim shorts into raggedy ends, stripey t-shirt, make a hat out of black card, cheap eye patch. Sorted!

Ebay, Asda, Woollies online, ELC?

Thanks for your replies - the pirate idea is a good one. Even I can manage to "make" that outfit!
