We're having a party for DS who will be 4. I was thinking of having it in the garden, but it is boiling out there.

It's a south facing garden so not much shade. We do have a gazebo up which would fit all the kids sitting to eat maybe, but not the adults at the same time. Games would have to done outside the gazebo though.

Is it a bit thoughtless to have it outside? If we have it indoors it'll have to be in the back room which is also boiling.

Party is 2 hours from 2pm. What do you think?

as long as you have plenty of suntan cream and drinks, hats etc then i would. get the paddling pool out, and out door toys and let the kids go wild, i'd love to do this for my ds but his birthday is in november! have you got a washing line? it can make great a tent with a couple of old sheets over it and it makes more shade

Buy a few cheap water pistols and bubbles to keep them entertained. One of those revolving water sprinklers would keep them happy.

Have a box of ice-pops in the freezer.

Have a good time!
