Sent out party invitations to everyone in DD's class, thats 20 kids, about 2 weeks ago. I've had 6 replies. Am bl*dy steaming as it happens every year and the ignorant fckers blithely turn up and expect food/party bag. I know I've invited them, and I dont begrudge buying the food/treats at all if I know it wont be wasted, but I object to buying party bags and food for 20 when only 10 turn up? what can I do? I'm considering sending a polite reminder to those who havent replied, hoping to shame them into letting me know, or making sure those who havent spotted the original invite know the party is happening.

A note saying no RSVP, no party bag. Are you sure the parents have seen invitations and they aren't just sitting in kids' trays?

I spoke to teacher on Monday, she said they had def. all been put in kids bags except one girl who was on holiday, she didnt get hers till last week, but I said she has already replied. I tried to make it easy by putting my mobile number so parenst can just send a txt to let me know, so much easier than faffing with bits of paper. I asked teacher to remind everyone to rsvp, and she says she has spoken to all but 2 who have childminder collecting.

Ring up the ones who haven't replied and ask if they received the invites. It's the only way to go!
