Any ideas for a first communion present for a 9 year old?

Anyway, anyone any ideas on a suitable present?

My ds had his confirmation recently and communion next month , how about bible , rosary beads or keep sake such as a watch , necklace , charm bracelet etc ?

Custardo, that's what I was thinking. I imagine he could get 10 bibles when he actually wants an action man.

What's the difference between confirmation and communion? (you may have guessed I am not religous...)

my ds confirmation is done before his communion , it is a naming ceremony , if you want to get him an action man then do.

However my ds acually liked his present of rosary beads....

If he's 9 probably first communion. Agree, give money or a pressie. Parents and godparents normally give rosary beads, catechism etc so I wouldn't worry about it. As I remember (very long time ago now) we got money for our money boxes.

Just updating - we got him a money box in the style of a vintage car and put £20 in it. He was v happy
