ethical party bags

googled it, and come up with lots of online sites but
a) any recommendations for cheap fair trade fillers? (sites/shops)
b) ideas that may be ethical but not billed as such? (e.g. pkt seeds).

Am doing 30 odd kids lucky dip at end of party, other prizes will be edible, so that's ok.

Thanks!

cress seeds and a plant pot - or sunflower seed and a plant pot

or plant pot and crayons to colour in plant pot and mustard seeds

LOL Riven - might be messy as a lucky dip! I'm doing a fete party - lots of stalls where they win a sweet, and I wanted to do a lucky dip/bran tub at the end rather than a bag full of crap stuff. Cake stall with five cakes for the birthday cake bit/pudding.

Thanks Rucky - seeds are nice.

For DS party we got some wooden dinosaur models for the children to build at home, wrapped them as gifts and that was it. No sweets. I think they were a hit.

From where? Am slowly becoming better at ethical living.

sorry. am overwhelmed with the minutiae of name the bear. i totally would do piece of cake and a balloon if possible without the potential squishedness factor

I recommend little cherry too. I ordered off them and the parcel was lost by the post. I rang to chase and hse sent me the whole order again and as some things I'd ordered were now out of stock she sent more expensive things.

And what was the thing all the kids thought was best?

Paper laser: the only thing you need in a party bag!

(I had to show one of them how to use it, then they all went crazy!)

grumpypants · 11/06/2010 19:04

oooh that sounds good. I need about 30 small things wrapped up for a lucky dip.
