Peppa Pig birthday cake

DD1 is 2 in July so starting to think about her birthday now.
Im thinking a Peppa pig cake would go down very well but im not very good at cake making or decorating so thinking simple- Plus DD2 is currently only 3 weeks old so time is a precious commodity!

I was thinking of a green hill (as Peppa lives in the hillest place ever!) with flowers and getting a few plastic figures to go on top. She can add them to her peppa collection afterwards.

This might sound really silly but would I need a dome cake tin or could i bake the cake in a large pyrex bowl or something?

You can bake it in a pyrex bowl - I did this to make a happy feet penguin for DD. It is better to use maidera cake as this holds its shape better than sponge and you can lop bits off to shape it if you need to.

I think your idea sounds great.

Although you can actually use figures your DD already has if you don't need to buy her new ones - I'm doing that this year for DD's tinkerbell cake - she already has a perfect tinkerbell figure so I've hidden it away for the cake!
