hi am hoping someone will be able to help. My ds will be 7yrs soon. I am looking at having his party at laserzone in northampton.

Has anyone ever been to it or had experience of it?

Hi,
Not been to the Northampton Laser Zone but DS has been to many parties at Laser Zone. My DS and his friends love it(so does DH!) infact am just in process of booking it for his 10th birthday. At the one nearest to us they provide party bags so all you need to take is the cake. Hope this helps

He will be 7 this birthday but being the youngest in the class his friends are nearly 8yrs. Do you think that is to young?

Ds has been going since he was 7. On the website they recommend it for ages 6 and above so he should be fine.
You could go in too if you're unsure

my hubby has already volunteered "to keep an eye"

think i am most concerned that they are going to get injured by bigger kids running around or run into walls or something. I am not PFB at all over my boys (only give sympathy if bones are broke or there is blood gushing ) but concerned about others getting hurt and party being ruined.

Spoke to a laser zone employee and he said i can go and have a look at the place.

You think thats bad - I booked DS's party yesterday and my DH AND my Dad have insisted that they need to go in!

I'm sure that there is a no running rule and whenever we have been there have been members of staff inside to enforce it. The boys will love it (big and small )

many thanks HappyHome for your help. I went and had a look and it wasn't as dark in side as i thought it would be. The packs are quite heavy but i think in the excitement of a party it wont be noticed. Will just encourage ds1 to not invite weedy children .

I am going to take ds1 and friend to try it out - just in case he hates it!!

Which is your local one?

Hi 2boys2

DS1 had his 8th birthday at Laserquest and they loved it. In fact, his was the 5th or 6th party in his year to take place there.

My friend's DD had her 9th there and she had mainly girls and they had a great time.

And I saw a group of 15 girls come out of the hall half way through and they were besides themselves with excitement.
