I think we're over pottery parties, although maybe not, there were a few when the girls were 7 so I kind of ruled that out.

I'd prefer it to be somewhere other than our house.

All idea's very welcome/gratefully received.
Thanks

DD has had (and enjoyed) soap/cosmetic making and jewellery parties. You can do these in a hall or look for something similar in your area?

I know of a company in Cheshire that run childrens art parties called Nellie Shepherd Events. A friend of a friend had one last year and said it was amazing. They do large 3D castles that the kids paint and provide crafts for the children. It sounded great and no stress whatsoever!

the website is www.childrensartparties.co.uk

Hope that helps x

My DD (9) had a jewellery making party last year- I am a jewellery maker by trade, but it really is simple and her friends loved it.

They made bangles like this
www.folksy.com/items/123902-Amethyst-Haze-Cuff?shop=yes

All I did was precut the wire and glued the bead onto one end.

I had 5 pots of beads with different colours in and they just threaded the beads on how they wanted.

I glued the end beads on - the glue is like superglue, and I didn't want them sticking their fingers together

They took about an hour to make, didn't cost the earth, and they made lovely ones, and I've seen them wear them since to other parties.

I kept numbers low- there was only 7 girls in all, but a great time was had by all.

The party lasted 21/2 hours so by the time they'd watched DD open her pressies, then make the jewellery then eat, and have a good natter and a dance to some music,it was time to go home.
