DD 2nd Birthday Party - ideas?

DD will be turning 2 in a few months, and I've already started thinking about her birthday party. For her 1st we had a few close friends and family around to our tiny little house, and it really made me wish we lived in a bigger house with a bigger (ours is the size of a stamp!)garden so we could have had more people over. This year I really do want to invite more of her little friends (and their parents), but I am just stuck with what to do.

Ideas I have are:
a)hiring a hall and an entertainer;
b)going to the park - can you have birthday parties in parks?
c)having it at home again with reduced numbers

What other ideas are there that are good for 2 yo's?

And - can anyone recommend any entertainers and parks in the Orpington/Bromley/Sevenoaks, etc area?

Thank you!

george just turned two and they don t sit still for long. i invited 5 friends over to which i let them stick on a large paper balloon and we made biscults and their own pizzas and then they just had a little play with toys and balloons. they had a great time and did not cost much and everyone was happy. maybe do face paints and little races in the local park with a picnic and hire bouncy castle but some children are scared of them .
