I am having a jungle themed party for my 3 year old next weekend. Does anyone have any good ideas for party games / ideas that have gone down well or not so well with your little ones?

Thanks

Blu-tac the Tail on the Lion.

Or tiger.

Pass the Parcel, but instead of the 'normal' way the parcel was a box full of little toys so instead of unwrapping and getting nothing the children opened the box and got something. The only problem is that whoever's doing the music has to watch VERY closely to make sure all children get a prize!

The sleeping bunnies song but with different jungle animals.

What is the sleeping bunnies song?

I have the perfect solution - a safari hunt. (like a treasure hunt but the children search for animals around the house or garden) If you don't have time to write the clues you can buy a kit from www.lelloandmonkey.co.uk/range.asp?id=3 they also have free 'colour in' lion and monkey masks and a print your own 'pin the tail on the elephant' game.

Hope this helps

Decorate like a jungle - streamers & balloons

Read a jungle themed story with pictures copied from the story to colour in after

Make animal masks

Play sleeping lions

Not very jungle themed, but musical bumps always goes down well, or musical statues - get them to dance/pose in the manner of a jungle creature each time

musical bumps type game - draw huge paw prints from lg paper (wallpaper or A3 paper?) and get them to stand on it when music stops. take one away each round.

decorate cupcakes or biscuits to look like a lion - creamy buttericing, choc drops for eyes, butterkist popcorn for mane etc.

Just came across these which might make things easier (am also doing a 3 year old party soon)

Thanks you have given me some great ideas. I have some masks already so think that these will go down a treat.
