Hi am getting DD1 Christened in a months time and was wondering whether anyone happened to have had a Waitrose cake for their baby's Christening? Do you know if they are nice or not, and any other suggestions gratefully received!

Yes we had the waitrose cake for DD's christening last year - it was very nice!

Find that Waitrose's bakery/patisserie section pales into comparison with M and S's.
Have tasted W's celebration fruit cakes on two occasions and was disappointed - dry beyond dry. Required copious amounts of tea/champagne to wash it down.

Might be too late now, but we had a Waitrose fruit christening cake and it was delicious!
