Hi,

We have just moved into a new house and ds, who'll be 6 next month, has decided he REALLY wants to have his party at home.

I have no imagination and am not good at entertaining so need some help/ideas on what would be fun/entertaining for a group of 6yr old boys.

I was thinking of getting a magician but have no idea how it would go down with 6yr old boys, it might be totally uncool!!!

Help!
Thanks

Hi I have booked a magician for my Sons 6th birthday in April. He went to a Xmas party where there was a magician and he absolutley loved it. He is delighted at having a magician and he also wants to have it at home. I am worried to death thet the kids won't enjoy it but it's what he wants and i think if you book a proper professional entertainer they should be able to pitch it right. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Hi,

I'm sure I don't need to remind you that 6 year old boys have lots of energy. A magician would be good, but you might need to burn off some of their energy first. Why not organise a treasure hunt and let them have a run around in the garden for 20 minutes before the magic show. Then I'm sure they'll be more than happy to sit down for a bit of magic, while you organise the party food. If you have never organised a treasure hunt before you can buy a fantastic kit from www.lelloandmonkey which does all the hard work for you.

Have fun!

Hi,

I just had my daughter's 5th party at home, it went down really well, I got lots of ideas from a website called The Present Club, plus I had a wish list for her on the website as it allows contributions from friends, so she got a Nintendo Ds and a couple of games, plus some of the profit from the website goes to charity.

Hope you find some ideas!
