4 Year old birthday gift

Hi my lo is going to a 4 year old girls birthday party and I dont have a clue as to what to buy as a gift. Does anyone know what year old girls like characters etc. Thankyou.

Hair clips and accessories. Princess theme anything. Nice story books. Age-appropriate craft activities. Hama bead kits. Barbie, Bratz dolls (barfola, but they like them). I'd ask the mother of the birthday child if possible, some 4yo girls miraculously aren't into princesses!

Books (if you can get one with the girl's name in the title that often goes down particularly well). Art and crafty stuff. Sylvanian families.

crafty type things? paint your own tea set / money box / wellies etc?

a nice bag - swim bag / lunch bag / rucksack?

making stuff is always good (not glitter or moonsand, anyone that got that for dd would not get out alive), books, puzzles (you can get princess ones)
little petshop, sylvanian family, dora, fureal animals

alos necklaces, hairclips (looking at piles of crap surrounding me for ideas) horse related stuff, wands wings and tiaras
