outta this world party!

My 5 year old dd is fascinated with outer space,the planets etc at the moment. It's her 6th birthday in october and I am looking for some outta this world ideas for party especially the cake. Help please!

cake idea?

We had a space party for DS1 last year - the cake was a moon. We covered a traditional circular sponge with white roll-out icing, made craters from the off-cuts and painted dust and shadows with black food coluring. Then added a toy alien popping out of a crater.
