Can someone please help with my wedding breakfast issue?

Early stages of wedding planning (despite being engaged nearly 5 years )

Have looked at some locations for wedding breakfast and reception and perusing menus etc.

Have found a location we like, offers complimentary bridal suite etc.

Menu looks lovely........

Problem is we have to pick one dish for each course and all guests will have the same (plus a veggie option).

So is this normal, for everyone to have the same?

I would have thought people would prefer to pick what they wanted to eat.

I haven't been to many weddings and don't know what is standard.

Yes, this is normal, don't worry! Some places will let you give guests a choice of 2 different meat dishes as well as the veggie option, but they still usually want to know who is having what in advance, which might turn into a bit of a hassle, unless you were having a small wedding.

Yes, that's perfectly normal. I have been to one wedding that offered a choice of sit-down dinner (and even then you had to choose in advance) but all the others have been one standard menu plus a veggie option.

perfectly normal for a 'do' where they are catering for quite alot of people. definitely normal at a wedding breakfast. happy planning!
