How d'you make bubble mixture?

So, got the bubble machine but the mixture is a fiver a pot! Is it really only washing up liquid? How do you make bubble mixture?

Yep, just plain old washing up liquid and water. More washing up liquid the better the bubbles. Only don't do what I did and add food colouring to the mixture, it's not a good idea

I have had success with straight washing up liquid.

washing up liquid/ water mix. might want to make it not too runny if it's the ELC one. That bubble mix is quite a "firm" mixture.

you can add a bit of glycerin to the mix for more solid bubbles but nothing beats a bit of dishwashing liquid
