Ball park figure for cost of a party - no idea!

DD will be 5 in the summer. Haven't done a proper party for her yet. There's quite an industry out there for parties isn't there!

What should I budget to pay in total on average for a party for 20 kids, in a hired hall, with entertainer plus food, party bags, cake, nibbles and drinks for adults and other incidentals?

I know you can 'go to town' in all those areas and budgets could vary wildly so I'm just after a middle-of-the -road type price.

Any ideas?? thanks!

hired hall - anything from £25-£100
entertainer -anything btw £75 and £150 for a couple of hours
food - can do cheaply, maybe £2 a child
don't bother with drinks for adults, just serve coffee and tea

I think about £150 - it would be round here anyway, going easy on the food and party bags.

Thanks.

Ok, so you're talking at least £150 probably closer to £200 going on bigchris's figures.

DD's party recently cost...
£65-hall hire
£195-Entertainer
£85-food for kids
£40-food adults
£75-Party bags
£20-party game prizes

This was for 36 kids.......

Shocking now I have added it up....oh and ballons were extra too.

I reckon on 150-200 pounds

It's crazy isn't it!

Room hire plus entertainer seems to be thing to do this year around here.

Last year and the year before soft play was popular. Having explored that possibility it seems to be the cheapest option. Ran it past DD and she said 'that's for boys'! Needless to say she usually loves softplay but it is obviously not her idea of a perfect party! Oh well!

Gambado is £12 per kid these days.
