My son's birthday party is on Sat 16th May and I requested RSVPs by Mon 11th July, I've had 2 RSVPs, what am I to assume re the other 6 invitee's?

i would think they were a tad confused by those dates

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 12/05/2009 21:14

Assume nothing. People are just rude.

We were still confirming 2 of the 8 a couple of days before hand.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 12/05/2009 21:14

didn't notice that.

See! People can't read either.

PortoPandemico · 12/05/2009 21:17

Can you ring and ask? I've has this when I've not replied within 3 days before. Guess you might not have numbers though.....I would assume probably that they WERE coming.

frasersmummy · 12/05/2009 21:23

its a common problem

I was constantly on at nursery ..can you ask x if they are coming.. oh havent they called you

I cant see whats difficult about picking up a phone .. but people just dont seem to bother

Treadmillmom · 12/05/2009 22:33

I dunno where the hell 'July' came from, obviously I meant May.
Unfortunately I don't have their telephone numbers.
I see them in the playground everyday but I just don't wanna be a nag.
My invitations say RSVP by text - I was trying to make it easy for them!

agree with Stewie

Oh, please ask them when you see them...ds was invited to a party via envelope in his nursery bag...which I didn't find until 2 days after the party itself. I was so upset for ds missing his 1st party (not that he knew) and felt SO rude for not rsvping - I sent an apologetic note to the mum (via nursery reception desk)

bigchris · 13/05/2009 18:28

i'd definitely ask them
it's not nagging if the party is on sat and you have only invited 6 and only know 2 are coming

saintmaybe · 13/05/2009 18:29

Tis always the way, you have to ring them up

Hulababy · 13/05/2009 18:31

Definitely ask them
