We're spending our first Easter at home this year - I'd like to make it special and start some family traditions. All Easter ideas that I can steal/adapt very welcome........

We are doing an Easter egg hunt, hiding small chocolate eggs around the house and garden for kids to find. They love it.

If you wanted to be more in keeping with Christian / Jewish tradition, our local church hosts a passover supper on the Thursday before Easter. We were thinking of giving it a try.

Happy to do Christian and/or non-religious stuff but at home rather than dragging the dds out.

making easter bonnets - home bargains have some good sets

I know what you mean, not sure how child friendly a church supper will be, esp as it is an evening do, so we are hesitating about doing it. Like the Easter bonnet idea.

We make Simnel cake - one to eat and one as a gift to whoever. We make cornflake nests starting weeks before until I can no longer face another mini egg. You need Amy Wilcox's recipe though, with the baby formula.

Easter Egg hunt of non grand proportions in house and garden.

I buy a bag of the mini golden eggs from Oxfam. Night before Easter Sunday, me & DP get pissed as farts and hide them all round the house. There are usually a few left that get found over the next few days - great excitement.
