Clothes Swapping Parties. Any tips?

I am thinking of holding a clothes swapping party and was wondering if anyone had done the same and how successful was it?

Any tips?

I've done this and although it was great fun, all the girls together, a few drinks, lots of gossip, the actual clothes swap wasn't that successful. It seems that none of my friends are the same dress size, so very few items fit anyone other than the person that brought it! Was amusing watching people drunkedly trying to squeeze into items 3 sizes too small, 'It will fit, IT WILL!' or being swamped by things 3 sizes too big. Nobody seemed to mind though, was still a fun night.

Hopefully you have friends whom are all 5ft 6 and a size 12, or whatever size you are, in which case it would be great. Hope you have a fun night!!

Emphasise that it's fine to bring anything, one person's rubbish is someone else's dressing-up/ jogging/ painting perfection, and it's good to have lots. We have a system where if more than one person wants it, it waits to the end and then all the takers try it on and we vote who should get it. And include bags etc.
