Food - sound reasonable?

This is for my son's 4th birthday party tomorrow, 1-3pm.

We're having 12 children and 8 adults.

I've got 5 large pizzas of various sorts, 2 big bowls of salad (for the grown ups), plus will have a huge platter of assorted finger sandwiches, a big platter of fairy cakes & a few big bowls of different crisps. Apple/orange juice for the kids. Tea / coffee or red/white wine for the adults if they want.

Does this sound OK? I've gone for a really wide range of stuff in the past and the sarnies, fairy cakes & crisps always seem to be the main things that go, so have stuck with that. But now thinking - is it going to be alright?

Also got a huge choccie birthday cake!

Sounds good to me! I usually do some carrot sticks/cucumber and grapes just to look healthy but the kids usually go for the pizza and crisps! I also find that the sarnies take ages to make and they never eat as many as you think they will ...

I always do a bit of fresh fruit and veg - strawberries, raspberries (maybe not at this time of yr!), grapes, cherry toms and cucmber sticks go down well.

No-one ever eats the sandwiches. I make fewer and fewer each year.

Hi ladies. Well, the party was fab - a complete success. As you predicted, only ONER of my 4 platters of sandwiches got eaten - I did manage to off load tupperare packs of sarnies on most people as they left though {wink]. The pizzas were so popular - got absolutely annihilated, as were cakes & crisps. I did the fruit / carrots/cucumbers etc and dips, too, and they went in minutes.

Thank you
