PARTY FOOD

Girls are having very basic party in a sports hall with some football games (see other thread for ideas on football based games) and a bouncy castle and trampoline.

There is one table and no kitchen to prepare food so have to take it all with me ready to hand out.

Drinks - samll cartons of flavoured water / squash

cocktail sausages
sausage roll (have to have the both of these as it's the only time DD1 gets to eat her favourite food and as far as she's concerned it ain't a party without sausage rolls!!!)
cheese sandwiches
ham sandwiches
crisps
little fairy cake type things
fruit - strawberries, grapes

What do you reckon.
Basic but okay?

Anything missing that risks ruining the whole day?

All sounds fine. That's what was served at the party ds went to a few weeks back.

All sounds fine, I usually add a few choccie fingers / other unhealthy biscuits!

Cool. Chocy fingers - good thinking batwoman!
They're on the list.

I usually add a few jam or honey sanwiches as some children don't seem to eat savoury ones.

What about doing a cardboard lunchbox for each child with a bit of everything and a drink carton?

ThomcatIsForLifeNotJustForXmas · 06/12/2008 12:54

Yeah a cardboard lunchbox is a good idea. Need to have 30 of them for next Saturday so depends on if I can find a load. Any suggestions? Online might be a bit risky.

Jam sandwiches also a good idea, Makes me want to be sick but you're right, there might be some children who'll only eat sweet stuff like that, thanks

Local party shop?
Some online party shops do next day delivery (for a price)

Or how about asking local takeaway if they'll sell you some paper carrier bags?
