What did you do for your 40th?

Just wondering as the big day is forever getting nearer...

I went to the pub with Dh and a crowd of mates and other halves and had a great evening. Then I had Birthday cake and candles round my mum and dad's on the actual day with the family and Mo's lot. Then two months later I went to Florida which was a joint 40th present for me and DH and will also serve for birthdays 41-60!

Prob won't have much money...not even sure i want a 'do' at all...not feelin v sociable at the mo. But then again, don't want amy regrets?! confused dot com.
Would like ideas though...just in case!

I am just organising a party for my DH's 40th. I gave him the choice of trip away, party, weekend break, stay home and sulk and he said he'd like a party but inly if he doesn't have to do anything about it. (Apart from pay for it, I suppose.) We are having a ceilidh; hopefully will be fun.

Swanky meal in Covent Garden(friends already at the restaurant) and we all went on to the theatre to see Chicago!

DH took me to Bercelona for a few days (sans enfants!), then on the day, had a house party with loads of friends.

DH is 40 soon, so we went away for a few days in the summer, and I am now busy arranging his house party!

Wanted to do something as a family, so we all went to Blackpool & stayed at Bubblerock's B&B, then rode every ride at the pleasure beach
