Ladies who do weddings - where is the best place to sell a wedding dress?

I have offered to sell my sister's beloved wedding dress (she can't bear to do it herself) but have no idea where to do it or how to go about it. If I were buying one I would want to try it on and have a good look at it, so though ebay was my first thought I'm not sure now.

If anyone has sold a dress or bought one pre-loved I'd be very glad of some recommendations!

Does she have to sell it? If she can't bear to? I think there's a website for 'pre-loved' dresses. Try googling. She could always donate it if it would make her feel better.

Unfortunately she needs the money having just had baby no. 3 . There's no chance of her getting into it again so I think there's an element of regret for the size ten she used to be too...

I think she'd love the idea of donating it so it's a shame that she could really do with the money at the moment.

You could try the local newspaper classified section. People will want to try it on before buying I suppose. But yes, I'd try here

Good luck and congratulations on her baby!!!

I know you say she needs the money but ive asked a local dressmaker to turn mine into a christening gown. Makes me less sad but i dont want my dress hanging around. didnt know if thats something she might prefer?
