So, dc are calmed and happy

Now I have a gllass of wine and am full of party food leftovers. SO all is well.

I am very chuff, dd had an ace time and other children loved it and adults were happily stuffed with food.

I am in love (still obv) with dh who made a pirate ship in the garden, with sails and flag and the playhouse slide whizzing into it out of cardboard boxes

Oh I am chuff chuffity chuffed, I overheard so many adults saying yum in variously ways. Ahhhhh.

And I said about boat right? And I did a treasure trail round house, decked out dc room with carefully positioned duvet cover aso you had to crawl in to find 'message in recently emptied wine bottle'.

, lucky you! Get those business cards printed and pop them in the thankyou noted. Slur: Party caterer and planner. I like it!

S1ur · 13/09/2008 23:20

Thank you for indulging me Avena I don't brag much (esp on MN) so it is particularly appreciated that you post back. I realise it is not necessarily interesting to anyone. someone who wasn't there.

avenanap · 13/09/2008 23:27

I think it's interesting. It sounds like you did a fantastic job. ds has been to some crap parties in soft play centres so it's giving me ideas for his birthday. I suppose he'd like to go lazer thingy though.

S1ur · 13/09/2008 23:34

Oh yes I am milking it for all it is worth while they want this sort of thing. I fully realise there will probably come a point where they want me to drop them at cinema and sod off.

OP posts:
avenanap · 13/09/2008 23:38

I could join in with paint balling or cimbing wall. I don't fancy lazer thingy though.

What are you planning next? Why are we chatting on 2 threads?

I'd best whipped these pics off in am sometime since two of the children aren't mijne!

My ones are the ones wearing the skulls and crossbones black costumes.

WOW! That cake's a work of art! It was a shame to chop it up.

Frizbe · 13/09/2008 23:46

that pirate ship looks fab and the cake wow! glad you had a great time.

S1ur · 13/09/2008 23:48

Chopping it was hilarious, not made for chopping. But I gave each dc chance to nab goodies before slicing up and then basically dismantled it for party bags.

Cept it was treasure chest not bags but yswim.

I am embarassed by my bragging I apologise.

It was good though

Oh you clever thing

avenanap · 13/09/2008 23:52

Ohh, keep on bragging. You really did a fantastic job. You are allowed to brag. Your kids will go to school on Monday and their friends will be talking all about the party.
