DD2'S 6th birthday party - thinking of a 'pyjama party' - fun or silly idea?

everyone comes in their pjs
we play some games, have tea, play a game then watch a video and have cocoa and cookies or popcorn

dh thinks watching a vid at a party is totally scuzzy

friend thinks making them come in pjs is a bit bonkers

?

Won't they all think they're staying and won't you end up with nightmare sleepover scenario.

I think watching a film with cookies etc is nice but you prob need to jazz it up a bit or you will be thought of as Lazy. So could you get them to make tickets and posters and make it very dark and show them to their seats with a torch and stuff?

also has to be a good film. Nims Island very good as is The Water Horse. If they haven't seen that would be good.

Or even better, can you borrow a projector from somewhere? We have one and 'tv on the wall' = eg watching a family film is one of our favourite weekend things to do.

That DEF lets you offa nd makes it not at all scuzzy.

Are they going to sleep over?

If not, I would wait for the pyjama party.

Is your DD totally over fantasy dressing up?

Not suggesting you care whether people tihnk you're lazy btw but I mean dh thinking it scuzzy etc.

dd2 really wants to do the pj theme

so annoying as she COULD share a disco in a hall with a friend but she refuses

'with 2 sisters I share everything [arms crossed] I will not share my party'

Oh make it a cinema pyjama party then, fair enough I think.

I think if it's a projector and liek a cinema it's not scuzzy, I tihnk just on tv and in pjs is a bit scuzzy.
