What does a princess party entail?

A friend of mine is interested to know what exactly does a princess party entail, besides dressing up as princesses and making all the party ware and decorations princess themed?

Are there particular games you can play, music, props you can use etc?

Thanks, hope someone can help. My friend's daughter is going to be 3.

Mirror, Mirror -pair up and one decorates the other with accessories, makeup etc and then judge the fairest of all.

Treasure Hunt -using plastic jewellery they can then wear.

My DD's just went to a "professionally done" pirates and princess party.

They had to decorate wands,that they took home.

They were given Tiaras,and they could dress up using their dresses.

Lots of craft stuff,and games slightly modified to "pirate and princess" themes.

They loved it.
