My daughter has decided on a sleepover this coming weekend for her 9th birthday (which also includes going bowling and out for tea first), sounds alot already I think. I was hopinh for any ideas to keep them amused once they are back at the house for the sleepover. I have never hosted a sleepover before so not sure if the girls will just talk and paint each others nails etc or should I be trying to dream up other ideas.

Thanks in advance

Having some experience of this age group and gender I would hazard a guess that they will want to be sequestered away in a bedroom. I'd have a couple of videos at the ready, in case the nail painting and hair fiddling becomes a little dull. Good luck! I'm doing cinema and party tea for my DD's birthday this week. Can't wait

We are doing this for DDs 8th next Friday - am dreading it but DH is going to dress up as a chef, speak italian and wear a flase tache whilst making pizzas with them, they will them run about in the garden and then myself andf my friend are going to do their hair and nails etc - then they are going to be locked in DDs bedroom with her TV and DVD palyer and told to be quiet!

Although I fear the quiet part won't come off - oh and they want a midnight feast - it has to be at midnight - so I am setting them an alarm and leaving food in the room as I can;t be arsed to stay up that late!

What is it with midnights feasts? My DD is obsessed too. I blame Enid Blyton.

I like your idea Twinkie1. An alarm is the only way to go.

Thanks for the advice everyone I think I will invest in some earplugs I think there will be lots of loud music and screaming, the locking up in the bedroom part sounds like a good idea MamaFormerlyKnownAsGlam I may have to do that with my son who is 6 as he will be really annoying for the girls!
