Class Party for 10 year olds

Dd is turning 10 this year and as she is a summer baby has never had a class party as v hard to organise round everyone's summer plans/work/childcare. Have booked the party a few weeks after her birthday for the 1st Saturday after school is back.

I have a venue and a dj booked for the Sat night and was thinking of hiring a disco dome and facepainter going for a sort of end of summer festival vibe.

I have venue booked for 3 hours - is this too long? Would 2 hours be better? And any ideas on what else to do with a class of 10 year olds that are mainly boys and a small group of girls?

I think the girls would like this kind of party but not sure about the boys, by this I'm going off my 10 year old and his friends though. If it's the first weekend after the summer holidays I'd worry I'd have had to send invites before they break up and that people might forget with so long in-between.

Thanks for the reply 😊 the boys do love to run riot and have a dance but was thinking some giant games maybe like jenga and tetris or something or open to ideas for other things that are not the traditional party games.

Planning on sending invites before breaking up and we have a good class chat to put reminder on nearer the time so hoping that will be ok!
