6th Birthday party ideas

I need ideas to kerp 7 or 8 boys entertained at my sons 6th birthday party at home. We have Sublime Science entertainers booked for an hour. Just need ideas for the next hour or so. I wm really worrying about letting him down and his friends finding it boring. Any help appriciated.

I did a scavenger hunt that went down really well, you've enough people to do 2 teams. I did it as a 'snack challenge', basically they need to find the items on the list before snacks are served and the better they do, the more snacks I'll be adding to the buffet table.
I had a list of 15 items with things like "for Haribos find something yellow" to be easy and then some more creative ones "for Pringles find something you wouldnt want to find in your shoe". They thought it was hilarious, and because they weren't competing against each other for a prize they all actually worked together. I made a big deal "oh my gosh I definitely wouldn't want that in my shoe! Ok, I'm putting an extra flavour of pringles out because I love that one"
