Table decoration ideas

Please can you lovely people give me all your amazing alternative ideas for table decorations for a spring wedding, as flowers are so expensive! What ideas can you give me

Single Gerberas on each table in a simple glass vase.

A terracotta pot with a rosemary planted in it and a ribbon round it.

We went to a wedding which had a round glass goldfish bowl on each table. Some coloured water and a single flower floating. I think there were some floating candles but it was simply beautiful.

Thank you very much everyone! It isn't for my wedding but for a friend (and my sister is also planning hers) so please keep the ideas coming so I can pass them on to them!

Hi I am getting married next week and I have been collecting plain or simple paterned jugs from charidee shops (£1-£2 a pop) and will be having a wander round the hedgrows next friday night for cow parsley honeysuckle and other wild flowery type stuff also ivy which is growing up the side of the house and bracken - will of course do a trial in case the whole idea looks completely shite! Plain cream tablecloths with a runner made from wallpaper ???!!! (this may also look shite)helium balloons tied to jug handles tealights in candles dotted round too-no favours -Done!

Helped at a wedding where they had got some of those cheapo vases from Ikea (50p/£1) and filled them to the brim with sweets (flying saucers, haribos, flumps, laces, penny chews). Very colourful and worked as the majority of guests were young (talking teens/early 20s). I'm sure she had something sticking out of them making them taller, bamboo maybe or just a helium balloon, can't remember sorry.
