Hello!

I am hiring a village hall for my daughter’s 2nd birthday party later this year. The party will be from 10am-12pm ish as some relatives can’t come in the afternoon.

I was thinking of doing breakfast type foods and sweets/pastries. Little pancakes, waffles, bagels, croissants/pastries, fruit, selection of cakes/biscuits and then fruit juice and tea/coffee. Can you suggest any other ideas?

for entertainment I was thinking of setting up some tuff trays for sensory play. I was then unsure on whether to book a soft play hire thing or bouncy castle? Any other ideas for toddlers?

party’s bags- what would you put in for 2 year olds please?!

thank you!

A bouncy castle sounds about right, I'd go with it.
You can also make a cute slideshow with your DD's pictures and play it during the party if the place allows to do that.

As for the party bags, here is a list of ideas we had for the 3rd and 4th birthday parties:

Snacks (fruit ones were our first choice as we wanted to avoid candies)
Bubbles
Temporary tattoos
Coloring calendars (you can make them yourself, there are plenty of coloring pages with various characters online)
Squishmallows
Headbands with animal ears
Crayons or sidewalk chalk
Hot wheels
Slap bracelets (we decided against that because the edges of the ones we liked seemed uneven and could possible lead to cuttings)

I’d add savoury things to the buffet
